What does it take to be a Leisure Professional at Mosaic?

“Our greatest asset is the people we employ…’

Whether in the spa or leisure side of our business, we truly believe at Mosaic that our greatest asset is the people we employ. Investing in our people pays dividends. Many of those that join us on our Apprentice scheme stay with us right through to senior management level.

Leanne Blowers-Solt joined Mosaic as an apprentice back in 1998 and is now General Manager of Ufford Park Health and Spa. She is a shining example of the training and career possibilities that are available when you become part of the Mosaic story.

Grabbing every training opportunity with both hands, Leanne has a long list of qualifications behind her, all obtained whilst being with Mosaic. Having steadily risen through the ranks over the years she doesn’t just run the Spa and Health Club at Ufford Park, but is also an intrinsic part of Mosaic’s Training Team having qualified as both instructor and assessor for Lifeguarding and First Aid training.

“After nearly 20 years of working for Dave and Steve I’m very appreciative of the guidance, patience, qualifications, time and support they have given to me,” Leanne enthused. “The training Mosaic offer is second to none. They have constantly challenged me throughout my career, and even after taking 6 months maternity leave, they continued to invest in me and promote me. Joining Mosaic was one of the best things I ever did!”

So, what qualities did we see in Leanne nearly 20 years ago and what do you need to become a Leisure Professional with Mosaic? Training Manager Phil Rowe explains;

“Qualifications aren’t important to us initially as we know we have first class training resources here,” Phil began. “What is important for us is to see a friendly personality with a passion for assisting and helping people, whether it be members, business clients, or colleagues.  Good customer service and communication skills are a must along with a clear interest in the fitness and leisure industry. If they have these qualities we can qualify them accordingly in all the relevant areas they need to begin a long and successful career.”

Our Company Vision is; "To make a difference to the quality of our members’ lives" and every member of our team has to not only believe that, but ensure that is at the forefront of their minds every day.
