Apprentice – Health, Fitness & Customer Service – Kensington

Mosaic Spa & Health Clubs is one of the leading spa and leisure management companies specialising in the management of spa and leisure clubs within the Hotel sector. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly and fun environment for our members and guests.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Apprentice to join the Leisure team at Imagine Spa & Health Club at the Holiday Inn Kensington, an elegant four-star property situated in the heart of Kensington. The hotel itself features 708 bedrooms and 12 Conference Rooms, and is located just off Kensington High Street.

 

This role will include learning the day to day operations of a busy leisure club. Whilst on shift, the successful candidate will fulfil wide-ranging duties including:

Reception duties;

Membership enquiries;

Lifeguarding;

Cleaning;

Assisting gym users;

and ultimately ensuring our customers enjoy a clean and safe environment in which to relax and exercise.

 

This position offers a variety of training qualifications including the nationally recognised RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, Sales training, Level 2 certificate in Gym based Exercise and Fitness, as well as the intermediate (lev 2) apprenticeship as a Customer Service Practitioner.

This role is offered for the one year duration of the apprenticeship and would suit someone who is wishing to enter the leisure industry and pursue and develop a career in a health club environment, and who shares our passion for providing great customer service.

The hours will be 40 hours per week and will involve shift work over a seven-day shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.

Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and subject to a suitable vacancy arising, we can also help you achieve nationally recognised qualifications in Pool Plant Operator and First Aid at Work, as well as developing into Personal Training and/or Team Leadership / Leisure Management (subject to personal desire & suitability).
