Christmas Party Beauty Tips

After two years without Christmas parties, we’re glad to have some Christmas glitz back in our lives! Whether it’s a festive soiree with friends, the office party or a great family get-together, we have a few beauty tips to help keep you glowing this holiday season…

Cheat a last-minute glow with a face mask

If you’re opting for glowing skin this festive season, we recommend our favourite sheet mask hack for optimum glow! On the day of your party (at least 30 minutes before you apply make up), try popping a sheet mask in the fridge for at least 10 minutes before wearing. Not only will this create a cooling and soothing treat, but it will de-puff your face, reduce any redness and leave you with a Hollywood worthy glow!

We recommend Temple Spa’s THE CONTOURIST Firming & Brightening Sheet Masks. £10 per mask in spa, or £50 for a box of 6.

Opt for gel nails

December is a busy time, so for anyone who loves having a polished manicure on the go, we recommend trying gel nails instead. Gel nails can last around 2 weeks chip-free, so perfect for all the parties, shopping and socialising you’ll be doing!

Keep your skin hydrated and moisturised!

In the colder, winter months, it’s very easy for our skin to get dry and sore. Unfortunately, when this happens, our skin can sometimes begin to flake. To avoid any flaky skin under your make-up this party season, we recommend you find a good moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated and soft.

Not sure which moisturiser is best for you? Speak with one of our lovely spa therapists today. Find your local spa here.

Try a quenching hair mask

If you’re planning to style your hair, or simply want your hair to look it’s best, try using a hydrating hair mask. A good hair mask will help prevent hair damage, improve softness and help with any knots – creating the perfect base for styling!

Be sure to take your make up off at night

We hate to admit it, but we’ve all been there! No matter how late the night ends (or how many drinks you had…) it’s best to remove your make up at the end of the party, if you want your skin to stay vibrant and blemish free for the next one! Just be careful to avoid rubbing any glittery make-up into your eyes when removing.
